Enjoyed this garden apartment tremendously! I have rented a lot of VRBO properties over the last several years and this one has to be my favorite on the Big Island! Beautifully decorated, peaceful, incredible kitchen, lush garden and a considerate owner who made me a fruit plate and picked a dragonfruit for me when I arrived . I hope to return really soon.

This was my wife and I?s first time staying on the Big Island and Amy?s rental was perfect! Our host has decades of experience being a chef and that reflected in this unit. Brand new, high end appliances. Every utensil imaginable as well as a large supply of plates and glassware. The Weber grill was great for cooking dinners after a day out. The AC blew cold and even with it off, it was still more than comfortable. Amy was always a phone call or a text away if we needed anything. She was more than accommodating on our late check out! My wife and I truly felt this was the nicest rental we have rented. The pictures speak for themselves as do the other reviews. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we find ourselves in Kona.

A fantastic place to call home for a week on Hawaii! This is a beautiful apartment with anything you would ever need for your stay and the kitchen had EVERYTHING you could ever want! Clean, comfortable, cozy, quiet accommodations and Amy, the owner, was gracious, helpful and it was a pleasure to get to know her. We loved the cozy patio for morning coffee and would recommend this rental for couples. Evolve Vacation Rentals Provided timely and great information about planning, checking in and checking out. We would easily give this 5 BIG STARS and will try to stay here when we get a chance to spend time on the Big Island again! Thanks Amy! B and D

This one bedroom main floor walk out apartment was immaculate upon our arrival. Every amenity was well thought out and provided. An amazing well organized kitchen with Fiesta/Pier1 dishwater, and ample cutlery and cooking utensils. For outings there are beach chairs, boogie boards, beach umbrella's and large grocery cooler bag. The deck is perfect to sit out at night while listening to crickets. There is a beautiful backyard with various fruit trees and delightful well-mannered chickens. This apartment is located in a quiet up country residential area with amazing sunsets. Amy was out of town during our stay, but we were greeted by her lovely friend to provide us with a quick tour. Throughout our 9 day stay Amy was very responsive through texting, while respecting our privacy at the same time. The 5 stars reflects our experience with the owner. We would highly recommend this apartment as a perfect home base to explore the Big Island.

We loved staying here. The property is beautiful, with a spectacular sunset view. Home is clean, comfortable and private. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need (and then some) to prepare meals. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting a real Hawaiian get-away and not the tourist trap resort experience. The owner met us upon our arrival and showed us everything we would need. We will definitely be staying again!

A beautiful and well-appointed suite that makes for a great stay, especially if you like to cook.

We had a comedy of errors but it all added up to an amusing and fun stay with a terrific host who is clearly a good sport. First morning there was construction next door, and on the last day we had massive flight delays and then the plumbing backed up. In all instances our host worked hard to make things right and never lost her sense of humor. And the circumstances let us get to know our host and her son, so all in all it led to a better experience than we'd otherwise expect. As to the property, it's every bit as nice as the pictures indicate. This place is pretty much for grownups-only - check out the furniture and appliances. If you want to bring kids, this isn't the place. It's kind of an "L" shape with the office area around the corner. If you like to cook, really cook, then you'll love the kitchen which is very nicely equipped. (The host is a chef, so you can get the low-down on what to buy for dinner and where to get it.) The living area is comfortable with a big TV and the bedroom very private with doors you can close to block the light if you want to sleep in. Lots of closet space, and a small safe if you need to secure personal items. There's also a TV in the bedroom which we never used. The pictures show an office area which is convenient for getting online and a printer for your boarding passes. Half of the office area is an open area where you can stash suitcases and other bulky items. The driveway is nice with plenty of parking space. The elevation is about 1,200 ft. so you can see a long way. Or you could, if there wasn't a big hedge blocking the view. On the other hand, the hedge makes for a nice private lanai where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, read, etc. in private. There is another unit above which has its own lanai; if nobody is there you may be able to go up and enjoy the view from there - ask your host about that, though. It's a bit more of a drive than you'd expect getting to/from the airport, but virtually all the neighborhood streets along the slopes of Hualalai open onto Highway 190 rather than 19 at the bottom of the hill so you have to go up and around. That's only an issue if you're heading north to Waikoloa or Kohala; 19 goes to Waimea; heading south 190 takes you right down to Costco or the shopping center on Henry St. and leads right into the center of Kailua Kona, Ali'i Drive and the Belt Highway. So all in all it's a pretty good location.

When I arrived to this nice, but normal house, I walked down a path leading to the back of the home and to my thrill I saw this first class BEAUTIFUL apartment! The private garden and lanai allowed for private evenings to BBQ. The interior looked as if it had just been renovated and off the pages of HGTV. The office area housed a desk and printer, extra storage and a beautifully maintained 100+ gal aquarium. The kitchen was fully equipped for a chef..not that I did a lot of cooking, but I could have. One other thing, our host offered to supply us with any tool or item like and ice cream maker or popcorn machine if I wanted. The bedroom and bath were stocked with extra linen, soups, tissues etc.. this was a first class experience!
