We enjoyed our stay in this spacious cabin near Lake Wenatchee. There is no lake access with this cabin (as far as I am aware, other than venturing to the State Park) - all access is blocked by private property. We took advantage of the propane bbq and fire pit, as well as the hot tub. The central air was not working, which posed issues for some members of our group that preferred to stay indoors (admitting that they prefer to have the thermostat set to Antarctic temperatures), but cross ventilation and excellent weather eliminated any issue for me. Overall, excellent spacious cabin with all the necessary amenities!

This is an excellent property to stay at with a group of friends or family. There is plenty of space and beds so that with our group of ten, only two shared a bed. The property was well stocked for visitors with paper products, cleaning products, and trash bags. The location is great if you are looking for something more remote and in the woods. The house is well cared for with nice finishes and comfortable furniture. The main challenges of the location for our visit is that the property is located 30 minutes from Leavenworth, which did not make going to town an attractive option.

We had a family gathering; family from Chicago, Helena MT, Surprise AZ and Bellevue WA all thought "The Pine Chalet" was perfect for our first trip to this area. We enjoyed the lights and sights in Leavenworth but actually spent more time at the house playing games, cooking, eating, laughing and enjoying watching the falling snow! The place was decorated for Christmas with 2 Christmas trees, lights on the banister, it was festive and appreciated. We were short on plates, mugs and glasses but we just washed more often. We highly recommend this beautiful house and this setting.

    Uncomfortable

2 stars for this cabin because of the very strong cigarette odor that our party was sensitive to, the odor clung to all of our clothing even the unworn ones. The furniture needs to be replaced, there are large unpleasant stains on the couches, some of the beds had an overwhelming foul smell, not sure if it was the mattresses or the bedding...the cabin seems to sleep around 14 people. The hot tub had a dead frog in it which we called about and they had somebody come clean it without draining the water, causing it to have a very swampy smell and feel to it, I was unable to get the smell out of my swim suit even after washing it twice, it also had a somewhat of a slippery residue at the bottom giving it an unclean feel. Only one bathroom had a shower curtain liner that had a thick layer buildup of hard water and soap scum on it making the showering experience very uncomfortable...But despite all of these unfortunate conditions we were still able to make great memories, the location of the cabin is wonderful surrounded by lakes and beautiful greenery. The ac worked perfectly, and the kitchen was well equipped, it had everything except for a tea kettle.

My family and I had a fun stay at the Pine Chalet but had a few issues. The good: - Spacious. The main floor (2nd floor) with kitchen and living room is open with tall ceilings and a large/awesome dining table fit for the whole group. There's a lot of sleeping areas too. - Clean. Everything is tidied up by the cleaning crew before arrival. - Stocked with basics and more. There?s shampoo/conditioner/soap, plenty of towels, essential kitchenware, big leggos for the kids, ping pong table in the garage, tv in the loft, fire pit for s'mores, and hot tub for relaxing. - Property management rep. We had Rhonda assigned for our stay and she was great. The bad: - Cigarette smoke smell. Thankfully no one in our group was overly sensitive to smells so after being in the house for a bit we got used to it but we'd notice it again whenever we left and returned, or when we opened the door to the basement. They don't have any plug ins or sprays to help. And it's clear someone smoked for an extended period of time and the smell is stuck in the house. They really need to invest in a good fix because when we mentioned it they stated it's been something they've been trying to fix (they even strictly forbid smoking on the property and don't warn of the existing smell). The stink stuck to our clothes - even the unworn ones we kept in our bags. I had a brand new bag I brought and it smelled of smoke upon my return home - I've had to febreeze it and try some other tricks to get rid of the lingering smell which is very frustrating. - Empty propane tank. We had to go get a new tank and get reimbursed which was nice but inconvenient and it took a couple weeks for refund to be processed. Overall I think we'd go back if it wasn't for the cig smell which put a damper on our experience.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at The Pine Chalet. It is spacious, secluded, was nicely decorated for the holidays, has Netflix, Amazon TV and lots of toys for kids. We got a bit of snow, so we could build a nice igloo, and relax in a hot tub in the evenings. The kitchen is well equipped, has a crockpot, rice cooker, pots and pans, coffee maker, but strangely is missing a teapot. Oh, and make sure to bring a corkscrew! We had to drive to town in order to buy one as there was none in the kitchen. Another thing that was kind of unfortunate, was that a house smelled like cigarette smoke. We are not smokers, so this really stood out for us. All of our belongings have that smell now. Despite that, the house is beautiful and we had a great time!

Our big family stayed this last weekend in the cabin for an early Christmas celebration. The owner took the time to put up Christmas decorations and lights (even a Christmas tree!) which put all of us in the holiday spirit. When we first walked in it was VERY cold because whoever left the house last shut all the vents and turned off the heat so it was about 40 degrees when we got there but it heated up super quick! The hot tub was turned on for us which was really nice. This cabin is fully stocked with everything that you need. The only thing that everyone has to know is that there is NO PING PONG TABLE like the listing says. My whole family was really looking forward to that and it was a big bummer when there wasn't one. The owner needs to change this in the listing really badly because I've seen on the reviews as well as the guest book in the cabin where people were also very disappointed. We didn't let that ruin anything though and were just blown away by the beauty and cleanliness of this cabin. We are definitely coming back! Hopefully by then there might be a ping pong table ;)

One thing that we didn't quite like, there were metallic (or aluminum?) beds on which you just couldn't sleep. Whenever you wanted to turn on the other side, you could wake up all the roommates, not to say you would wake up doing that. If this is addressed, it will be a great cabin. *This review was originally posted on VRBO for a stay in Jan-16

We had a good stay. It was a beautiful cabin with lots of sleeping space. The parking was tight but wasn't bad. Nice they have a couple of stores close by and the lake is close.where looking forward to staying again.

This was my first time using a vacation rental. It was very easy. The rental was basically as the pictures showed it to be. The house is fairly secluded, which was nice for us, but did not have a yard at all, just gravel. No lake access. The toys and games that were said to be available with the unit were very old and worn out or non exsisting. We noticed that sound carries easily in this house. You could hear normal talking from the living room/kitchen in almost every room, so going to bed early or trying to sleep in was difficult if you had others in the group who wanted to stay up later or get up early. The space had a good amount of cooking items so it was nice to not have to bring salt or seasonings, however do bring plastic wrap or baggies or foil if you need them. We had an IT guy with our group thankfully, because the tv was difficult to figure out, and the internet stopped working at one point. So we didnt have to worry about that, but if he wasnt there I would have been bummed. It is about 30 minutes outside of Leavenworth, but the drive is pretty and there are a lot of outdoorsy things to do in that area. Lots of mosquitos though. Stairs to get into the house werent a problem for us, but I could see them being an issue for someone who doesnt do stairs, there is no other way in. Overall great experience!

This place was wonderful! They had everything we needed to feel comfortable. We had 12 people there and the space was a great size and didn't feel over crowded.

What a fantastic home! My friends and I had a wonderful weekend and took full advantage of all of the home amenities, including the outdoor fire pit, the gas grill, and the home's close proximity to Lake Wenatchee was a huge bonus given how scorching hot it was! The home is also close to downtown Leavenworth, making it easy to drive into town. But I love how secluded and private the home is.

We had an amazing time with our family and friends. The cabin is perfect for any age. Wonderful for kids and parents. The house has accommodated us very well so that we can focus on each other and enjoy the fellowship.
