The character of this amazing Oasis was by far the most intriguing of any vacation rental we have ever stayed. The grounds are lush and decorated very eclectically. If you are looking for modern amenities, this is probably not for you. But if you are looking for a unique and very comfortable space in which to share time with family or friends, the Oasis is fantastic! We LOVED it!!!

Very nice apartment if you are looking for a quiet place to stay just outside of downtown Portland. The hosts are outstanding. My girlfriend and I had our flight delayed 10 hours and Julie offered to have champagne waiting for us once we arrived. We could not have been more pleased with our stay here!
Attentive to needs during my stay. Quiet, peaceful & comfortable. Great location!Thank you!

We enjoyed staying at the Oasis very much! The Moroccan decor and antiques were unbelievable! Also, the place was cozy and well supplied with all the necessities. There was even coffee, tea, fresh roses, and chocolates.
The house is an easy walk to the MAX for getting in to downtown without driving. There is also a beautiful walking/biking trail 2 blocks away. The neighborhood is pleasant and quiet. Jules and Ron are gracious hosts. We would gladly stay here again.

My friends and I loved staying here. I never tired of looking at the Moroccan decor. Beautiful and unique gardens, and the our contact person was always immediately responsive. Would recommend to anyone wanting unforgettable accommodations.
This is my first review of anything! We stayed at this property for a family reunion and it has been beautifully restored. The owner could not have been more friendly and helpful. We stayed in unit 3 which was the basement of the church. It was a huge area and wonderfully decorated with items the owner has brought back from her many years in Morocco. The grounds are just like a park with ferns and trees and fountains and sitting areas. Also a large fire pit area with comfortable seating. I would stay here again, but next time I might try for unit 1 which is the apartment on the main floor of what used to be the parsonage. And even though I haven't been inside that unit and it is smaller, I think because it gets more natural lighting from windows that it would be fun to try. We only stayed 2 nights and did not do anything besides family reunion things, but for someone who wants to sight see in the Portland area this is a great place to stay! *This review was originally posted on VRBO for a stay in Aug-16
This is a nice place even though half of it is under construction. This particular unit did not feel private as we could hear the owner who lives on the floor above. The description from the management company, Evolve, and the house rules are outdated and do not refect current contact information. Jules, the property owner was lovely and accommodating.

As much as we loved the decor there were two important items that could be improved.
The beautiful antique bed is a real antique built for shorter people. It is a full bed and less then six feet in length, so it was uncomfortable for two.
The second is that this listing says it is a full kitchen, but there is no stove or oven. It does not show a stove, if you read the listing carefully.
But the place has real style and is beautiful, so I hope these problems can be remedied so many more guests can enjoy it.
