Given the reviews, we felt comfortable booking this condo. Lovely views and home. Great place with split bedrooms which was nice for two couples traveling. Nice to stay at a rental that had plenty of towels! Seriously, so many VRBOs aren't well stocked with linens. This allowed us to not have to do wash on our short 4-day stint. Would definitely stay here again.

A very convenient location. The property was pretty well maintained for the age of the building. The property was outfitted with all the cooking utensils and dinnerware that we needed for our group. It was very comfortable and provided decent amenities - like the pool (a little chilly, but acceptable), hot tub & workout room. The layout of the property works well. The onsite property support at The Village did a good job answering our questions and pointing us in the right direction. This is definitely the property to be in if you have kids in Ski School (Peak 9)!! We would definitely book this property again! One big negative: Please get the elevator fixed!!!

Nice, comfy unit. Some unfortunate surrounding issues.

The most comfortable place I've stayed. Large bed, comfortable couch and chairs in living area. Quality internet, TVs. Kitchenware adequate. The booking company hands off to a local property manager and confusion begins. Not code access to unit, code access to local lockbox where you pick up keys. Local company let's you know $100 If not left in rental. Confusing (to me) directions to parking, contradictions on web site re: parking. The dishwasher leaked, I was able to stop it and called local company to let them know. They could not send anyone, so I let them know I would not run dishwasher as they asked - I mean at $100 for a plastic key what would they charge to run the washer? (to be fair, when I called about my parking questions, the guy was friendly and helpful) No A.C., but cool nights with windows open. No problem until a wedding party on last night which went into the wee hours. They were just having fun, but sleep was difficult. A 4 to 5 star unit, but not as well managed as others.

    Manager's Response:
Stephen, we're glad you enjoyed your stay here in Breckenridge overall, but we apologize certain aspects fell short of your expectations. None of the units in this building have A/C as it is not standard due to the mountain breeze. However, this unit is one of the few equipped with ceiling fans. We understand the homeowner has fixed the dishwasher, so the scenario you encountered won't recur for future guests. Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. We are confident this condo will continue to host many satisfied guests! Best, the Evolve Team

Great condo, everything very nice inside. The location is hard to beat as it's just 100 yard walk to the Quicksilver lift at the bottom of Peak 9, and a similar walk the other direction to the start of the main downtown area for restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our time and would stay again except for being turned off by the "welcome" letter from Book By Owner which included a threat of $100 fee per key card that was provided for access to the room. These are the same key cards that hotels throw away by the hundreds every day so I find it hard to believe a $100 fee per card is anywhere near reasonable. They provided us 8 cards, I can only imagine what a joke it would have been for them to think we would pay $800 in fees for 40 cents worth of plastic. I am sorry to make such a note of it, but I am lucky to travel a fair bit and have rarely seen a policy so in need of change.

Location was great, a short walk out to the lift, pool was across the common area, brewery was across the street, the main drag for downtown restaurants, bars and activities are literally across the street. The condo was clean and updated. Kitchen was well equipped as we cooked breakfast every morning! We had happy hour everyday and enjoyed the awesome view of the mountain. The only reason I give 4 stars is because it was very hard to get ahold of someone to help us get new pillows as they were very old and outdated, blind was broken and the toilet seat was broken. It took until the 4th night, "3 calls and 3 emails later", to get these items straightened out and even get a response. As a vrbo owner myself in the FL keys I know how important it is to have someone help in reasonable time. 4 days later is a little lengthy when it comes to something as simple as pillows. Sleeping was a 2 out 5 for me and my wife. My suggestion is to have firm and soft pillows ready to accommodate sleeping preference, and change the pillows out every once and awhile. Other than those 3 minor items the trip was fantastic and I would still rent the same unit from the same property managers. I'll spare the picture of the pillows!

We loved our recent stay in Breckenridge. We had 4 adults and 3 kids. There was enough room for us all. The room is nice and had easy access to the parking garage. The elevator is only a few steps from the room. The location is incredible! You are close to everything! It's nice not having to get your vehicle out. One day was spent walking downtown. The last day we were there we went skiing. We walked down that morning to the ski rental shop in the next building over. We were able to get all of our ski equipment and lift tickets in the same building. Afterwards we walked 50 ft to the lift. With the great location, we were also able to take off our skis and walk back to the apartment for lunch, saving us a lot of money from the restaurant on the slope. I would suggest this property to anyone looking for a place in the middle of it all! We hope to book it again.

The condo was great. Very short 2 min walk to ski lift. Clean and well equipped with kitchen utensils, towels, etc. fire place was such a great bonus as it was 5ish degrees out. Great balcony views. Beds were a bit uncomfortable but that's just knit picking. The only issue was checking in. We never received instructions and arrived on the property only to be told that the condo is privately managed by an outside company and we would have to contact them directly to check in. Once searching through emails, I found a number and the girl on the phone was not very helpful. We had to drive to pick up keys and check in/check out instructions. Once we figured it all out, everything was smooth sailing and we really enjoyed our trip! Would definitely recommend.

Upon arriving to the condo we were in awe at it's beauty. It has all of the amenities you could need, 2 large balconies to take in the views and is central to many exceptional restaurants and bars. We were a little disappointed to find out the swimming pool was not actually attached to our building but in a neighboring building. Other than that, and some minor maintenance issues (floor boards no longer attached to walls, tub in 2nd bath not draining properly, toilet not flushing completely - took 2 flushes each time etc.) we enjoyed our stay. Arrival and departure directions were very easy to follow, house was clean and smelled great, lots of sleeping options and a large table for my family of 5 to eat at. I am not entirely sure that we will stay in this unit again, but we will definitely be staying in other VRBO's in Breckenridge in the near future!

    Unorganized and Building Under Construction

    Reviewed by: Melissa F on

We came up to Breck for our 5 year anniversary and to welcome my husband home from Afghanistan. Upon arrival, the property manager was completely disorganized and didn't even know we had made the reservation (which was made 5 days prior). We had to wait almost an hour while the property was checked.

Overall the condo was nice but was missing random items like Kleenex. The building itself was under construction so all ammenities were closed, which was a huge bummer as we were hoping to utilize the pool with our toddler. There was no lobby access either so you had to enter/exit through the construction areas which can be tricky with small kids. All not huge deals, it just would have been nice to be notified of these things prior to booking.

    Nice Place To Stay

    Reviewed by: Antero Unit on

My family of four stayed in this Antero unit and found it to be the perfect place to stay! It is a clean, nicely decorated condo that is close to everything in Breckenridge. This location is perfect because you can easily walk to Main Street, chair lifts and the main gondola on peak 8. While my family would stay at this unit again, I need to point out that we had to pick up our keys and parking pass a few blocks away from a lock box at a ski shop. Not terrible, but not necessarily convient after a long drive to the resort. It would have been more efficient and time saving for us if we could have just checked in at the front desk. One last thing to point out is that there was no housekeeping services provided. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice to have additional towels when needed and to not have to strip all bedding prior to leaving at the end of our stay. Overall though, this is a great place to stay.
