The stargazing was impressive! There are no close neighbors to intrude and the privacy was wonderful. There is a huge amount of space and I was worried about echos with all the wood but it is quiet and cozy. There is no air conditioning but the cabin stayed cool enough with the fans. The caretaker was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We will book this place again!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful log cabin. Despite the cool, wet weather while we were there we were able to enjoy the outdoor space a bit between showers. The rooms were spacious, furniture comfy and the kitchen had cookware and utinsels for anything you?d want to cook. Definitely check out nearby Pine River Dairy for some good cheese! As long as you?re ok with being a good drive from town and area attractions, it?s a great place to stay.

Wow. What can I say about this cabin?! I was absolutely blown away by it. Initially I was looking for a hotel room for the weekend as I was working at Road America. Hotels were sold out so I went to Air BnB. When I stumbled upon this cabin I thought the photos looked great, but since it only slept 4 it must have been on the smaller side (fine for me since I was just going by myself). When I pulled up the place was HUGE! Lofty ceilings, amazing wooden details, large patios on every side of the house, and total seclusion from anyone or anything. I honestly wish I had a group of people with me to take advantage of the place and that I wasn't working so I could enjoy it more. Had it been cooler, taking advantage of the indoor or outdoor fireplaces would have been perfect! Either way, I'm happy I stumbled upon the listing and will definitely keep it in mind next time I'm out that way.

Spent four days here over the July 4th weekend with family. We found everything about this quiet location in the country to exceed our expectations. The cabin feels larger than it is. The stone fireplace is a work of art! The kitchen is more than adequate for every meal preparation. With two master suites (one upstairs and one downstairs) plus extra bunks in the basement I'd recommend this place as a cost saving option for two couples or families trying to stay at the nearest Holiday Inn where you'd have to rent at least two rooms. This cabin is superbly built! It feels solid and secure while giving off a sense of peacefulness to your stay. We were entertained by a doe and her two fawns during the early morning hours and by the constant fluttering of birds around the cabin and the nearby woods. Truly place to go if you are looking to be at peace or just want a convenient base of operations for your east Wisconsin excursions.

I enjoyed the stay , being there by myself let me appreciate the beauty of the cabin itself. It is a beautiful cabin. Well done Mike. Prior visits were packed with people which didn't give me the time to just enjoy the cabin. The check in by Wayne was brief with limit explanation of the cabin. I did ask for the full check in but I think Wayne might have shorten it. I suggest you have a written check in checklist that Wayne goes over with the guest to assure there understand the unique qualities of the cabin. You might want to have the guest sign it, just in case something happens you can lay the blame in the right place. Issues: We have discussed many of these before but these are the issues I noticed. 1. The TV should be updated. It is 15 year old technology. Using the two remotes is cumbersome., picture quality is poor, and the selection of channels is limited. Most people now have cable and are use to a much better viewing experience. 2. Providing a good selection of quality movies and books would help overcome the limited TV coverage. You can often find them at Goodwill and garage sales rela;tively cheap. 3. I never found the switch for the garage disposal a sign located in the spot where the disposal is normally located would be helpful. 4. The instruction for the fireplace do not ask that the fireplace doors remain closed except for starting and stoking the fire. People may be tempted to burn the fire with the doors open which is a major fire hazard. 5. One of the front porch lights was out 6. The outlet for the refrigerator was not working and Wayne had run an extention cord along the back of the counter. It created no problems for me. That is about it. I did enjoy the stay but I was there a week to early. Pretty much missed the fall colors. Thanks again for letting me stay. I will likely use it again if I can get family to join me. I had hoped that it would worked this stay but I ended up there alone. Tony

The cabin was clean and well stocked with linens, towels and pillows. The rooms are spacious and the property has lots of little trails you can walk on to explore and experience the beauty. The owners/managers have a really helpful binder filled with great info on various features of the cabin and surrounding areas. I had only 2 minor complaints. The first is that the downstairs smelled pretty bad. And it was strong. My husband said it was a strong musty smell but it almost smelled sort of like a chemical to me. I would suggest airing it out before new guests arrive or sleep down there. My other minor complaint is the amount of flies in the cabin. I'm talking hundreds. The buzzing alone was creepy but we also found them dead on the beds and one even under my pillow. This would occur every day. Not just something we found upon arrival. Otherwise, we had a peaceful and relaxing stay. With no Wi-Fi or television and spotty cell service it was definitely a vacation from it all!

Homeowner Response: Thank you for the response! We are happy that overall you enjoyed your stay. In regards to the smell you reported, the homeowner went to the property and removed a couple mothballs that were being used in the owner's private storage. In regards to the flies, the homeowner has since installed more fly traps to alleviate this issue for future guests.

This was a very pleasant setting in the woods of northern WI with great bird watching. We saw several birds for the first time, including an indigo bunting. Picked asparagus right on the site and had a delicious meal of local lamb, morels, and asparagus. Enjoyed just staying in the cabin, but this was also a great base for visiting Door County. We drove up to Fish Creek and enjoyed a traditional fish boil and went shopping. There are many interesting shops in Door County and we purchased a wind sculpture for a very good price. We also made several long day trips over to the WI Dells, Aldo Leopold's cabin, and the International Crane Center. Lots to do in this area of WI! We would stay again for a week or more.

Let me start by saying how cool the cabin is, it really is a log cabin. The pictures don't do it justice, it is a lot bigger then it looks. It has that rustic warm feel that you want. By far the nicest cabin I have ever stayed in plus it has everything you need. It is very peaceful and quiet. We had campfires with s'mores and played games. My family loved it. You have got to go to Saint Nazianz Opera House or Butch's as the locals call it for their Friday perch fry. We also found a local dairy called Pine River that had a fantastic selection of cheeses and the kids got a scoop of really fresh ice cream that was fantastic for a quarter. One of the highlights of the trip for me was a salmon fishing excursion... My son and I caught a mess of big fish while my wife and daughter went shopping in Sheyboygan. We will definitely be going back!
