  My husband and I and our 2 golden doodles had the best time. Spending time way from the hustle and bustle was so refreshing. We had the best of all weather, stormy windy day and warm sunshine to follow. The beach was lovely. The view was simply magical! The home was cozy and perfect. We Enjoyed wood fires in the evening. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our home made meals. We would love to return in the future.

  The property was wonderful for my wife, our new-born daughter, and dog. While we got the opportunity to experience all weather (rain,hail,sunshine) we took full advantage of the outdoors. It was lovely, we hiked 5min down the road to the beach, we noticed tracks and animal droppings but sadly saw no wildlife except some birds. We didn’t get to enjoy the fireplaces as all the wood was damp, I would recommend bringing fresh wood! Luckily, central heating worked fine. The beds were comfortable and the overall ambiance of the home was spot-on. The One and only flaw it had was that the back door did not lock at all, no matter the configuration and if you are like me safety is #1 no matter where or how far you may be from civilization. Other than that, what a gem! Hope to be back some day!

• Second Visit and Not the Last

  The second visit was better than the first. This is such a hidden gem. Relax, relax, relax. Quiet days. Walks on the beach. Watch the Pacific. What more could you possibly need for a get-away vacation. If you are looking for "the spot", this is it.

  This won't be our last visit to this amazing property.

• A Private Place Near Port Orford

  This rental has been one of my all time favorites as we booked it 2 yrs. in a row. Private area, grounds and beach, all to yourself! The property is majestic, in a way. The owner, Helena, has been very accommodating and helpful. However, Evolve never sent me my final instructions, I had to contact them to receive them. I was told I would get a call from Evolve as I had received permission to add an additional night to the front side of our stay. That never happened. My last comments are the home doesn't seem to be cleaned very well. There are dirty places, dust and cobwebs, as well as the upkeep of the place. Beautiful home but is needing some TLC. Having all this to say, I still would recommend this place.

  - From us here at Evolve, we sincerely apologize that our communication impacted your stay. This does not reflect the owner or property and Evolve takes full responsibility. We've reviewed your reservation, and it appears that the pre-stay information was sent by our team via email on 9/18, and wasn't provided upon confirming the booking, as it should've been. 
  - We also reviewed your modification request and found that the phone number you provided during the booking process was invalid. When our Guest Experience Team attempted to call you, they encountered difficulties reaching the number. They did, however, send a follow-up email to clarify this and provide our callback number. Unfortunately, we never received a response, either via phone or email.
  - We've communicated with the cleaning team, and they've assured us that they will address the cleanliness concerns you mentioned.
  - It's important to note that there was continuous ash deposit during this time due to smoke from the nearby fires. The cleaners did perform a thorough cleaning just before your check-in, but there was ash in the air for several days. 
  - Regarding the cobwebs, our cleaning team regularly tends to them. However, being situated in the countryside, it's not uncommon for cobwebs to reappear periodically. 
  - We're committed to the constant upkeep of the house and its surroundings, including the maintenance of the grounds and the path to the beach. If you have any additional feedback to share regarding maintenance please don't hesitate to reach out directly to the owner or Evolve to share more details. 
  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
